Have you tried any of the available conventional AMC headers? The Hooker
header with the removable #8 primary is pn 7105, and they make several
others. Hedman and Blackjack also have catalog parts for Hornets etc. A full
length header would have more performance, although exhaust modifications
would be required. My eventual plan is to have a street Bricklin into which
I will install a 401 with conventional headers, but I don't know if the
available ones fit. Last night I finished the left side header for my
Bricklin project. As the chassis is unrelated to a stock Bricklin am
building a set (1 7/8 dia. 30" long primary) from a Hedman SBC weld up kit
with AMC flanges (which were of very poor quality).
