FWIW, I live in Westminster, CA, and it just so happens that Frank
Darling also lives in Westminster!
Haven't caught sight of his Bricklin(s) yet...he stopped by once to see
mine. I wonder if he's seen me drive it.
By the way: Frank, if you're reading this, feel free to contact me with
any "B" related questions. Maybe sometime
I can stop by and look at your car(s)?
I'm just on my way out the door to start pulling the dash. Thanks to
more hours at work, I think I should be able to afford new carpet and
insulation, along with the usual behind-the-dash updates.
Anybody have more info on BIG West in Las Vegas, or contact info for one
of the meet directors?
I'm just curious as to what's on the schedule, and other popular meet
questions for 1st timers.
Got a question regarding my VIN tag. The con artist-mechanic dude spray
painted over it, and I was able to get it back to where most everything
is visible. I have a picture of a VIN tag from a 1976 "B" that I want to
scan into my computer. Then, using photoshop, I will take the
information that is embossed, such as the vin number, and replace it with
the embossed data from my car. The result will be an exact reproduction
of MY vin tag. If I were to print it out, I would have a VIN tag in
perfect shape. my concern is the legality of doing this. I'm thinking
that since it's an exact reproduction, including all data specific to my
car, it would be okay provided I discard/destroy the old one. Thoughts,
anyone?
The FAQ says an AOD trannie can bolt into a '75 to replace the FMX.
Exactly what Mustang year models qualify here? The body style
drastically changed in'93, and I've never seen a 5.0 mustang later than
1992.
I'm thinking that if an AOD fits, maybe a manual trannie from the same
year would work too.
Anybody try this?
Thanks,
Riley Marquis III
