I trust every one survived the holidays and their head don't hurt tooo
much. I've been off for about 12 days and had all kinds of grand plans
to work on the Brick. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate. We've
had temps in the hi 20s to low 40s and rain for all but 2 days. But I'm
managed to put a lot of time in on the Brick. Unfortunately, most of it has
been working on the wiring harness.
But this morning, with the help of my dad, we did manage to get the drivers
side sill plate and the lower portion of the A pillar we had to fabricate
welded in!!!!!! Next on the agenda is:
1. Cleaning up all the welds with a grinder,
2. Welding in the 4 patch panels for the interior side of the A & B
pillars to the bird cage and sill plates,
3. Dropping the floor pan and welding up the reinforcements,
4. Cleaning up the Ford 9" rear end with disk brakes and installing
it.
Then I'll be about ready to put the body back on the chassis.
In case I haven't mentioned it, Santa brought me 2 more Sonetts. Well
sort-of.
Santa didn't really bring them, I had to buy them from a fellow in the next
town. And their still at his house. I have to get them towed over here.
I'm looking for some storage for them to try and get them out of the
weather. So far no luck. I might have some room for one at a friends
place. But we have to clean it up quite a bit first.
So that's how I've spent my Xmas vacation. Not to mention, going up to
my son's school and bringing him home (about an 8hr drive round trip) and
taking in a couple of movies - Enemy of the State, and the new Star Trek
movie.
All in all, a very enjoyable time.
