John Blair, I enjoyed the new Brickline, great articles and entertaining
stories.
I could not help but notice that some very well known Bricklins are on the
"Block" as a new owner, should I worry???
I sure am glad that I did not buy mine as an investment. I have put over
6,000 miles on vin #2303 since July of 1997. I bought it in Las Vegas and
since no one bothered to tell me(well Terry T did warn me not to drive it the
first time farther than I would be willing to walk back) about the stupidity
of driving from Las Vegas to Bakersfield in the middle of the day during the
summer, off I went. IGNORANCE IS BLISS!!!!. Made it without any problem. I
also drove it to John Martin's the following month and he warned me about the
radiator cap spec being to low, he suggested I replace the 8 pounder with a 15
pounder. Since the car was not cooled off I told him I would do so as soon as
I got home. Well on the way home through the "Grapevine" at about 85 MPH
heading downhill of all things the %^%$#$ cap gave out. If I had been left to
my ignorance, nothing would have happened, I am sure.
