That's a good idea, if there was an infrastructure to support it. Outside 
of BI and OBO, I don't know of any other clubs. I always thought it would 
be a good idea to somehow merge both clubs records and Terry's and Bob's 
business records into a database that might be used to give, among other 
things, a timeline of ownership for each car. But we are talking about 
allot of work with information that is in various places, in various 
formats, in various stages of completeness. And remember, information DOES 
age.

A BI members-only area of the website is being considered using the clubs 
database. Many intra-club functions could be performed there. The hard 
resources (internet access, web server, disk space, etc.) and the soft 
resources (web design, server maintenance, programming, etc.) are free to 
the club and the latter is limited by my free time, so advancements to the 
site are made in small steps.

If you are really interested in locating 221, the service you describe does 
exist, it's just not automated. Try calling/writing any of the club 
officers, I'm sure they'd be glad to help locate the current or past owner.
