Why did the guys at the factory fail to apply some sort of rust protection? I know Bricklin was a low budget company, but not that low budget! Or was it that there was no such thing as rust prevention in 1975? The least they could have done is painted the metal parts..... speaking of rust, VIN 1758 has a rusted out metal piece on the passenger side underneath the dashboard..what is it and what was its purpose? is it important?
