The Smog Nazis here in rainy California check visualy for all the various components, then check their function (including the EGR), then check the setting of the ignition timing, and finally sniff the tailpipe. Personally I think that's overkill. If the objective is to have clean air what does it matter whats under the hood as lonf as the tailpipe is clean? Squirrel power, chunks of glowing rocks, or black magic-shouldn't matter. Anthony |
