My mechanic is changing the front shocks on #618 and he cannot easily
get the shock removed from the car. It looks like the shock tower,
which is held down by three bolts on bottom and two that go in
laterally, does not come off -- the lip of the fender is in the way. Do
we have to notch the lip, loosen the fender, remove the fender, or what?
As to the damage that the car sustained from being jacked up on the
floor pan, it looks minimal. Thanks for all the help on the problem.
