This raises and interesting question. Are these rear ends possibly
interchangable with 60's vintage Studebakers? Studes used Dana 27 & 44 axles
with the same  style of retaining the rear brakes drums (castle nut on tapered
axle end). There were also special "hot rod" differentials with welded
attachment brackets for torque links that performed the same function
(eliminating wheel hop, etc) that they did on the AMCs and Bricks. Just
