Any 15# cap for older American V8's with a/c will work, but to be more
specific, Stant SP-18 or R-18, AC RC-36 or equal. I have no idea why identical
looking caps would have different pt #'s. Used to be there were two caps; 7 lb
(non-a/c), 14-17 lb (a/c). I've put a couple on mine and just picked up the
cheapest cap that was 15 lb or 14-17 lb rated.

My radiator is pushing coolant into the overflow tank when it is hot, but not
sucking it back in after cooling off. The overflow tank and hose seem to be
fine so I suspect a bad radiator cap. Can anyone tell me what the appropriate
cap is? The one on there (probably not original) says 14-17 pounds. All the
caps at my local parts store show one specific pound rating - not a range.
How many pounds should I run? I am also confused because the store had
radiator caps that appear identical, but have different part numbers. The
parts guys where no help since they only know how to look things up by make
and, of course, they have no listing for Bricklin.
