Scott I have installed several fans on my triumphs. I did not put in a temp sensor as they did not look reliable ie the way the sensor was to be installed looked like it could cause trouble. anyway i just wired up an on /off switch and turn it on when needed. the fans attach to the radiator. the best way would be make some type of frame out of aluminun stock and mount the fan to that as opposed to mounting the fan to the radiator with the plastic things they give you in the kit.
