I like the "B" as it was designed=2C for what that's worth.  In high school=

I thought about this same idea=2C but it is not so easy a task.  To do a pr=
oper job=2C the "A" pillars need to be moved forward.  Otherwise you can't =
lean the windshield back very much because it starts to get very close to t=
he steering wheel.  An added problem on the MGC-GT that I have is that the =
steering wheel is 1 inch larger in diameter than the steering wheel on the =
MGB.  The steering wheel is larger because there is no power steering.  So =
if we are really going to modernize the B=2C lets go to a smaller steering =
wheel and add electric power steering=2C but that of course has only been a=
vailable very recently.  Sometimes technology just doesn't move fast enough=
 but it's still fun to dream.

Had they designed the car with a proper laid back windshield it could have =
had two longer wipers and it would have looked much better too.  Attached i=
s a concept I designed back in the 70s to make the B a modern car.

OK=2C I am not sure that I need another colector car but I bought a 1976 MG=
B yesterday.  It is a fixer-upper but then as such the price is always bett=

June 11th=2C this Saturday=2C from 8 A.M. to 10 P.M. will be the 37th Annua=
l Scottish Days/Highland Games at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi.  This is a BM=
CU sponsored event but there is no contact person because it is just a "sho=
w up and park your car" kind of day. =20

We have been directed to enter at the South West gate and park on the grass=
 near there.  For those of you who have gone to this event before=2C it is =
the same as in past years.  For those of you for whom this is a new event=
=2C you really can't go wrong=2C there are plenty of volunteers around to d=
irect you. =20

We seem to be finally getting to some better weather!  Temperatures are sup=
posed to be in the mid 70's and partly cloudy=2C but no rain in the forecas=
t.  Should be a great day to be out with our LBC's.  Let's make it a great =
turnout.
