I received this email about registering my vehicle.
As of right now the "vintage" vehicle rules are posted at
http://www.dmv.utah.gov/licensespecialplates.html#vintagevehicle
<http://www.dmv.utah.gov/licensespecialplates.html%23vintagevehicle> .
The new laws don't go into effect until July 1st so in the meantime
everything remains the same.
July 1st when the new laws are set to go into effect would change the age
limit of vintage vehicles from 40 years to 30 years.
I would assume that this information could be read about now on the
Legislator website which is
http://www.le.utah.gov/UtahCode/section.jsp?code=41-21.

If I'm reading this correctly, on July 1 any vehicle over 30 years old can
register their car for a one time $40.00 fee and does not require a safety
inspection or emissions.
That sounds pretty good!
