I was reading all the emails and would like to throw one more idea into the
mix. I was not sure why we do not have a set term of service for the
Governor General and then have a
Lt. Governor General that learns the job for their upcoming term. We would
then have a
span of time to find the next Lt. Governor and not be facing the lag in
leadership. Maybe the club membership would be a lot more willing to step
up if they knew the job and just followed a pattern of succession like any
other leadership structure.
Just a thought for the future, does not really fix the current problem but
could correct the future.
