It was not the best Tinker Day. Around thursday I came down with a bad
cold, spent most of friday afternoon and evening home in bed. Almost spent
saturday morning at home too, but managed to make it down to the shop a
few minutes before 10. Jon Hermance showed up with a fender welding project,
I got him going on that. It looked like a TR6 meeting, with the two that
I have at the shop now plus the ones that showed up. Did a little carb
tweaking and ignition checks on them. Some fellow, who's name is on the
sheet at home, showed up with a metallic red Tiger. Looked pretty nice.
A bit after 1, Jon and the last TR6 left, and I thought about sticking around
for at least another hour or so, but closed up and went home to jump back
into bed. Well, the sofa really, so I could watch TV for the next day or
two. A few more folks that I know about showed up, though one person actually
called me first to see if I was still down there. Gee, he would have brought
yet another TR6!
It was sunny, not snowing, but pretty cold when you were out of direct sun.
And the furnace at the shop has some wiring problems and won't work, so going
inside didn't help much.
