Subject: Miatapalooza 06 Update!
Itbs almost time for Miatapalooza! Are you ready for a great day of
learning, driving and giveaways? Trophies, barbecue and mingling with your
fellow Miataphiles? You should be because Miatapalooza 2006 is just over one
week away. This email is full of tips and information that youbll need to
make the day a success.
First, how the heck do I get there?
Miatapalooza 2006 is being held in Parking Lot L of Monster Park (aka
Candlestick) in San Francisco. Following is a bunch of different ways to get
there:
Traveling from the North Bay Area / San Francisco, take 101 south to the Cow
Palace / Third Street exit. Go left and over the freeway onto Third Street.
Continue on Third Street and turn right onto Gilman or Carroll. Proceed to the
parking lots.
Traveling from the South Bay Area / Peninsula, take 101 north to the main
Monster Park exit. Follow the signage to the parking lots.
Traveling from the Southern East Bay Area / Hayward, take 92 west over the San
Mateo Bridge and then 101 north to the main Monster Park exit. Follow the
signage to the parking lots.
Traveling from the Northern East Bay Area / Oakland, take 80 west over the Bay
Bridge and then 101 south to the Cow Palace / Third Street exit. Go left and
over the freeway onto Third Street. Continue on Third Street and turn right
onto Gilman or Carroll. Proceed to the parking lots.
Parking Lot "L"From the North or South, take the Third Street exit to
Jamestown Avenue and turn right. Use Lane #2 - Second lane from the fence.
Attendee registration begins at 9 a.m., though we wonbt have seminars or
track time starting until 10 a.m. Breakfast pastries and coffee will be
available for you, and you can use this time to set out your swap meet items
or give your Miata that last little polish for the car show.
Donbt forget to bring: sunscreen, jacket, hat, folding chair, water (webll
have two beverages available per registered attendee, so bring more if you
think youbll need it), cash or checkbook for the vendors, helmet if you want
to autocross, and your MIATA! We wonbt be using the FSRs as originally
announced, so you wonbt need those.
Lunch is barbecue from Old Texas BBQ, and they are providing Boca Burgers, as
well as Angus Burgers, beef hot dogs, and a green salad on the side.
If you have friends who have not yet registered, encourage them to do so soon!
I need to know how many people to expect for the catering and handouts.
Registration closes on August 24, 2006.
