California use (sales) tax on used cars

I remember reading something on the DMV web site about not having to 
pay use (sales) tax on a used vehicle if the use tax had already been 
paid on the vehicle in the prior 90 days.  Now I can't seem to find 
it.  Does this sound familiar?  Did I dream this up?  :-)
