It seems
like there are a great deal of really experienced people in SF SCCA

into so many changes, changes that seem to reverse themselves from one
year to the next? Were the underlying conditions that the changes
were meant to remedy or improve so pressing?
None of this was a "rush into so many changes." The timing system we've
been using has been around for a long time, and there has been discussion of a
computerized system for probably 5 years or so (at least). The Street Tire
system we had in 2004 had been in place for a few years, and someone obviously
thought there was a problem. So, it was changed for 2005. And the Steering
Committee obviously thought better of what they had done.
If you were to go to Steering Committee meetings, you'd see how much
discussion usually precedes such changes.
