The problem that 6 run groups is addressing is that
heats aren't fully staffed. I recall this being a
problem late in the day, even at Boondoggle events I
chaired, obviously with 8 run groups.
The problem that a 6 run group doesn't address is that
most people would prefer to run in the morning or at
least be out of there by two o'clock, more or less.
You're still going to have people running/working out
of run group to get home early. Six run groups might
negate that, or it might not solve anything if too
many entrants decide they'd rather run in groups one
through three.
