While not optimum a traction compound is an option for bringing back life to 
old rubber.  Shawn Breese once told a bunch of us it worked well on the, then 
current, AS03s.  On the other hand, he didn't have much success with this 
tactic on the Khumo Victoracers.  What I don't know is what brand he used.  I'm 
hoping to find out as I've an old set of ASO3s I'd like to try out in BS at 
Oakland on the 30th.
