I have to admit I never saw this coming. As someone that came from a
region without a street tire class I can say it was really nice having
one here. That said I never ran it because the current car was never
competitive in any class.
To me the old solution worked well except for running in the same heat
with SM. This almost ensured a huge group every event. Pairing it
with a smaller but stable class would work well.
If we have a ST class per stock class I doubt there will be enough
turnout in most of those for reasonable competition. Winning a class
by default isn't much fun.
There may be an upside here but I don't see it based on the information I have.
