So I got a puncture on one of my rear Bridgestone RE730 Gen. 2 tires on
the Z3. Unfortunately, my dad drove the car for a long while with the
tire mostly flat, and the whole carcass is completely shot. They don't
make this tire anymore, so I'd have to at least replace 2, but since
I'll have to replace the fronts someday anyway they might as well match.
The tires have about 40-50% of their tread left, are worn a little bit
more on the inside shoulder, and as such were a little bit noisy on my
Z3 (another reason I'm replacing all of them). But you know, if you
have one worn out axle and need something to beat on for street tire
autox, let me know. Otherwise I'm going to throw them away.
There are 3 tires total- a pair of 225/45/17s and a single 245/40/17.
They will be replaced at Motorsport Techniques in Hayward sometime later
this week by Jack Chew, and if anyone wants them I can ask him to hold
them for a little while for you to pick up. I am not asking anything
other than the couple dollars you will save me on disposal :)
