here's a little list of some things ive observed:
1. never give up. always assume you can win. visualize winning. many
people beat themselves by talking themselves out of it.
2. when the contest is close, it is the team or person that WANTS to win
more that will triumph. so WANT to win.
3. stop negative thoughts: im not as good as (insert competitors name), my
car isnt as good, i cant do it, etc. these affect your driving in subtle
ways.
4. dont assume the competition is infallible. their car could break, they
could cone out, they could crack under the pressure, you could become faster
than them.
5. enjoy the pressure of competition, dont shy away from it. it can help
make you a better driver. repeatedly test your limits of stress.
6. prepare prepare prepare. have the right tires, the right setup, broken
stuff fixed.
7. and if all else fails: make a "gentleman's agreement". haha, thats a
JOKE! (kinda)
