If you have a contact list for the people that head up Solo II in the
division, would you please send the attached information out regarding
hotel
rooms for the Reno Divisional. We have blocked 50 rooms at the Reno
Hilton
at
a preferred rate of $79.00 per night plus tax however they will only
hold
the
rooms until midnight June 3rd.
We have also blocked 10 pull through spaces at the Hilton KOA for $34
per
night. They will hold the RV spaces until June 10.
We will also have self contained RV camping available at Stead Airport
but
with no hookups.
Rooms are filling fast for the July 4th weekend so would like to get
this
information out in advance of the entry etc.

OK - so here is what I got:
50 rooms at the Reno Hilton @ $79 per night. Rooms must be reserved no
later than midnight June 3 to guarantee availabilty. Please mention the
SCCA
so that you get the preferred rate, and that the rooms come from our
block.
10 pull-through RV Slots at the Hilton KOA. These slots are held until
June
10 at a rate of $34 per night, for two people per RV. Extra campers
will
have a small additional charge. Again, please mention the SCCA to
guarantee
availability. After June 10, there is no guarantee they will have
slots
available.
Please tell all participants to book their rooms NOW. The weekend is
typically a very busy one, and we want to be sure that everybody has a
place
to sleep. All the prices I was quoted are plus-tax, so the net
effective
rate will be a little higher.
To reserve rooms at the Hilton, call 775-789-2129 - Mention the SCCA!
To reserve rooms at the campground, call 775-789-2147 - Mention the
SCCA.
ALSO:
I do not yet have a Chief for T & S. The feeling of our region people is
that
the chief needs to be someone familiar with the Divisional/National
procedures and the T & S Software. Have an email out to Don Miller to
see if
he or one of the Snake River people would do it. Any other ideas?
