This note is not intended to make you stop wearing sun screen!
But I wanted to pass along a bit of wisdom I read. Covering yourself from the
suns rays is most important to minimize skin cancer risk. Users of sunscreen
actually have higher rates of skin cancer than non-users. It is NOT the
sunscreen that causes cancer, of course. Users of sunscreen just tend to spend
more time with skin exposed to the sun, than non-users, because they can! The
SPF rated sunscreens help prevent sun burn, but do not protect against cancer
causing effects, at least not enough to rely solely on them. So, why roll the
dice, cover up in the sun. And stay healthier. - Seth Emerson
