really cheap car painting?

ok, i bought a truly ugly car last night.  after i got home i realized that
the car cover that came with it is to protect the VIEWERS of the car, not
the car itself.  :-)

having it be one color, rather than the variety of colors it is now, would
be an improvement.

my question is:  if i want something better than using some spray cans of
paint, is the "i will paint any car for $199" a better investment, or ?
whats the price range for track cars?
