Have you ever seen a car blow a tire in the middle of a sharp turn? Even at
only
40 mph, in combination with a pot hole or a imperfection in the pavement a
car
can indeed flip.
Not to mention what a uncontrolled spin can do if you happen to hit a light
pole. Even though the courses keep us away from the light poles, it is
possible
to spin enough to hit one if the car gets really wild.
Better safe than sorry...
