Just a perspective. Having watched, and really enjoyed, many hours of the
complete live Speedvision broadcast of the 24 hours of Daytona, it strikes
me that we REALLY have it easy when OUR cars "break". Three posis in '00 was
"cheap". How can 24 hours of time destroy so many beautiful pieces of
equipment? Don't answer, I know, already. Don

But, You know, even as big a team as the GM Corvette Team at Daytona has their
problems. They had a newly designed driveline part which had been been promised
for two months before the race. Their vendor kept promising and not producing.
The cars started the race on used parts when he didn't come through. That
vendor will never produce a part for that team again. This info is from a
friend of mine who is a part of the team. - Seth
