Legal Question

I have a legal question. My nephew is coming to the
Bay Area to spend the summer. I would like to bring
him out to an event and give a couple of rides. He is
16. His parents are going to be 2200 miles away in
Detroit. What would we need in the way of proof
parental/legal guardian consent for him to be a
passenger?
