company cars, the remainder private. A decent chunk of

None of many contemporaries at HS/College would have
seen a non-exotic British car as desirable. It's
pretty much the same on the west coast. Nobody
actually buys Chevy Malibu's do they?

There has always been an incredible cottage industry
for sports cars. I could imagine myself with a Morgan,
Caterham 7 or Lotus Elise as a hobby car, but not as a
daily driver.

007 in a BMW, even a Z8, just doesn't work for me. But
BMW's brand recognition in the UK is probably even
stronger than California.
