I don't agree. In fact, from the perspective of a low car like a Seven or a
formula car, a lot full of 12" cones is a easier to read than a lot full of 18"
cones. The taller the cones, thicker the forest.
Best cones we ever had were some 12" soft yellow ones that were molded out of
what seemed like pencil erasers. These suckers would roll under a car and pop
out the other side with no damage to either.
I agree with my son Alan that the solid-base cones ought not be allowed on an
autocross course.
