Right, but a built AP car will likely be putting out considerably more
power from a motor of the same size. Like, probably double.

Any car that meets the requirements in 17.A.2:
"Cars running in Prepared Category must have been series produced with
normal road touring equipment, capable of 100 being licensed for normal
road use in the United States, and normally sold and delivered through
the manufacturers retail sales outlets in the United States. Cars not
specifically listed in Prepared Category classes in Appendix A must have
been produced in quantities of at least 1000 in a 12-month period to be
eligible for Prepared Category."
