Hi gang, most of you have parents. Some of you even know mine. But only
those of us with gear-head parents can appriciate this phone exchange with
my father tonight. Car is question is a '91.5 MB 400E.
So tonight his little burg of Lincoln, NE gets an Ice Storm. He leaves the
office aound 11pm (nite-owl) and it takes him four attempts to get the car
into his car-port/driveway. Like any concerned grandfather, calls the father
of said grandkids (me) to check the weather up here in Omaha and fess's up
to the four attempts.
"well dad are you still on the GoodYear F1's."
"Yes"
"Had you thought about stoping by the shop [50 yards from his office] and
putting on the Blizzaks?" (said shop is staffed 24x7)
"I can drive on ice."
"How many times did you try getting in before you resorted to turning on the
traction control?"
"Turning it on would have been cheating."
And people think I'm nutz.
