SCCAForums.com Launches New Web Portal
Los Angeles, CA, Nov. 14th, 2003- SCCAForums.com, the leader in all amateur
and professional racing forums has created a new portal for racing news,
results, and information. The new web site allows users to anonymously post
news articles to the web site similar to other sites, www.slashdot.org uses
a similar methodology to collect it's news. All news is then previewed by
the site administrators to check for legitimate content and then either
posted or removed from the approval queue.
These changes are just a first step toward a mapped development path that
will include future modifications to the site to provide a Racing Event
Calendar, online event results archive, point's standings, and many more
cool features. Over the next week the web site will continue to change with
additions and modifications to the new Portal.
The site is powered by the PostNuke, www.postnuke.com, PHP portal software,
running on a FreeBSD web server. For further technical information about

Company History:
SCCAForums.com started in December of 2000 by Dave Schotz to provide an
online forum for All Things Racing, TM. The forums currently have 4400+
registered users, and the traffic to the forums has grown considerably with
recent upgrades to the forum software. In September of 2003 Chris Hammond,
www.christoc.com, joined with Dave Schotz to take SCCAForums to another
level, first upgrading the forum software, and then helping to develop the
new website, and plan the future for SCCAForums.com.
