I'm looking into getting a decently maintained early model 240-280Z or a
1st-2nd Gen RX-7 to convert into a daily driven autocross vehicle (CSP/BSP).
What I need to know is this: Are there any real disadvantages, when it comes
to maintenance or parts availability, to one or the other of these cars? Is
ther anything specific I need to look for regarding maintenance history or
trouble-prone models? What can I expect to pay for one of these cars in a
decent state of repair? By decent, I mean - it runs, good engine - the body is
almost irrelevant, as long as the doors close and all the seals, etc. don't
leak. Rust holes can be fixed...
Thanks,
Ken
