I don't disagree -- but those places are close to *somewhere*. This is
close to nowhere. Who will make the event happen? Everyone who lives in
the closest "city", Burlington VT, prefers rallies and hillclimbs. :-)
It just doesn't seem realistic to put on a tour or pro so far from anyone
who cares. At most "big events", there are at least a bunch of locals to
help fill out the field. The only attendees at Plattsburg would be those
willing to travel a fairly large distance, and the turnout would be tiny.
Just MHO, of course. I hope someone manages to secure the site and proves
me wrong!
