Hey everyone, Charles has reminded me that it might be a nice warning to let
everyone know where to shop. Especially if you don't know the area.
If it was up to me, I would recommend everyone get a hotel in the College
Park/Rt1 and I95 area. I've never had a need for any hotels in the D.C.
area for obvious reasons, but as you get up to the CP area, the crime
lessons drastically and there's a college campus nearby (U of MD) which
tends to clean things up.
Something at Rt1 and I95 would be good, it's 11 miles of highway drive to
the site from there and it's got to be safer than anything in close
proximity to Fed Ex. The one across the highway from Fed Ex (by US Air)
might be OK, but I definitely wouldn't go looking anywhere west, south or
east. The further north you go, the better it gets. But, it's probably
more pricey up north.
The nice thing about College Park is there are college bars and such around
there which would at least give a hint of night life. Around Fed Ex there
is zilch.
Happy shopping,
Brian Garfield
