Basically, you go through 3 driving skills schools, including two timed
practice laps. Then you take an offical timed lap on the competition course;
if you want you can then return to the skills schools to practice what you
might have had a problem with on the competition course. Later in the day you
return to the competition course for your second and final timed lap.
Mazda supplies the helmets (don't bring your own), the cars (Mazda 6's), the
tires (Falken's), and the courses and workers (you don't have to work the
event); all for less than $40.
If you achieve the highest score in your town for the weekend you will be flown
to Mazda Laguna Seca along with the 14 other city winners and the 5 highest
scoring non-winners for a run-off to determine the winner of the top prize, a
new Mazda 6.
