Complaints about what should and what should not be on a list are fairly
common. It is hard to please everyone, though in the case of the many
Team.Net lists "everyone" is only about 11,000 individuals. What I did some
time ago while looking at other mailing list management programs was set
up a list under Mailman called the-local@autox.team.net. The express
purpose of that list is for off topic chatter about this, that and the
other. I also set up single-malt@autox.team.net too, among others. Not
too much has ever come of those two lists, as well as a few others. If
you've got web capability, you can check them out at
http://www.team.net/mailman/listinfo
For now I'll just say that do try to keep from going too far astray on this
list, and that the-local@autox.team.net could be interesting if folks made
use of it. One could offend the political sensibilities of people who've
never been autocrossing, a whole new frontier!
