My grandkids have an Ernie doll who sings "Splish Splash" (yeah, trivia
buffs, I know who Bert and Ernie are named after). Neither Ernie nor the
grandkids drive a Mercury in autocross, but I have. My older daughter's
husband and I shared the Tracer for an event or two. Now the younger
daughter owns it. While she is in Germany, the car is stored in
Massachusetts, due to the amazing generosity of former Driver-To-Nationals
Paul Cezanne.

My older daughter had fallen in love with the Alan Jackson record, and was
really irate when he did the commercial for "Crazy 'Bout a Ford Truck". The
Mercury commercial came later.
