For the money, around $250 these days, I would just get an in-dash CD head
unit that also plays MP3s. Depending upon file size, which is directly
relative to the sound quality, you can put anywhere from 10 to 200 songs
onto a single 700MB CD-R disc.
I have one CD-R here at work with about 155 songs of decent (somewhere
between cassette tape and CD) quality sound and I simply press the "random
play" button and change the disc at the end of the next work day.
As a bonus you can still play your favorite CDs when you want to.
