I never write on team.net...but I must put in my input..
I have to say I am the proud owner of a 2002 Chevy Avalanche. Mike and I
were going back and forth on other pickups, and even Suburbans.
We purchased our Avalanche with the 5.3 motor and a 410 rear. It does get
17/18 miles without towing, and about 13 pulling our Z28, a flat trailer,
and with all our stuff about 6000 pounds. It's built on a Suburban chasis so
it's pretty big. As far as the blind spots, yes, it does stink, but it
takes some time getting used to. I tell you though, it's really fast for
such a heavy truck, so if you are looking for great pick up this has it!!
I must also add that Mike does construction so he wanted a pickup, (we
didn't want the inside getting ruined) and I wanted a Suburban for all the
inside room...so the only way we could make us both happy was to get the
Avalanche..(I like to sleep in the back with the mid-gate down and my dog
enjoys it, too!!) Lots and lots of room back there!!
We have put almost 10,000 miles already in three months on this sucker...
I'll be happy to give any one change for a dollar!!!
