It amazes me how people just assume that nobody buys a rulebook. I have
three of them, but couldn't find the info in the brief scanning I had time
to do. This is why I asked exactly where to locate it, hoping somebody else
would know, or have more time to look.
Thank you for the answers from Greg, Jamie, and Travis for pointing out the
section and not just telling me to buy a ruleboook.
I was looking for something that was specifically called "Update/Backdate"
which is why I couldn't find it.
Thanks,
Brian

Brian, you need to purchase a Solo Rulebook and read the section on
Street Prepared (Chapter 14) and the portion of Appendix F
(Clarifications) that applies to Street Prepared to ensure legality.
That being said, here's what the 2002 rulebook's para. 14.1.C. says in
part about updating/backdating:
"Equipment and/or specifications may be exchanged between different years
and models of a vehicle if (a) the item is standard on the year/model
from which it was taken, and (b) the years/models are listed on the same
line of Appendix A (Street Prepared Classes)...." There are additional
caveats that you need to be aware of.
If you can't obtain a Solo rulebook locally, my region (Old Dominion)
would be glad to sell you one. (The 2003 rulebooks won't be available
for order until January 2nd. though.) Hope this helps!
