Try this one on for size:
(80 MPH) x (2280 ft/Mile) x (1/60 Hr/min) = 7040 ft/min
(22.8" Dia) x Pi = 71.62"/rev = 5.969 ft/rev
(7040 ft/min) / (5.969 ft/rev) = 1179 RPM = Wheel Speed @ 80MPH
Final Drive Ratio = [(5000 RPM) / (.848)] / (1179 RPM) = 5.001
