The sales person was thinking of a bead lock and not a torque ring. All
Keizers require a torque ring. Also, when you reassemble them make sure to
put ani-seize between the halves so they don't gall and a fresh bead of
silicone seal.
Had my Keizers for 10 years now and no major problems.
