Here is a solution for the Miata AND all the British iron in DP

1: Leave the Miata in DP and let the class rebuild on a new platform with
    fuel injection and triple adjustable shocks and yes even 10" wide wheels.

     Here is the tricky part

2: Create a DP Vintage class for all the old British iron to continue to run
    in.  

Think about it.  The British cars would have a new place to run and not have
to worry about the technology creeping up on them.  The Miata would have a
stable class to build cars into.  IMHO AP is not the place for the Miata.  The
Miata would be awesome on a tighter course but the Tiger or the Corvette would
stomp on the Miata on a power course.
