It was a real scorcher too, with the heat
index pushing 110 both days.

Feh. Amateurs. Actual air temps measured 3 feet above ground level with a
shaded thermometer at Forbes Field last weekend, 110 degrees. Surface
temperatures exceeded 140 degrees. Heat index was over 120.
Relief in the shade was welcome both days

As a matter of act it was so hot that, for the first time in a long time in
the Midwest Division, we only ran three runs on Day 2 of the event in order
to get it over with earlier.
