I don't think so. In the case of software, the rule requires (and
has always required) that any part of the ECU code - including
look-up tables - that controls boost be identical to that portion
of the stock code. The SP rules specifically allow modifications
to mixture and timing via ECU reprogramming or replacement, even
in turbocharged cars, but alteration to boost-limiting devices
via modifications to hardware or ECU code is prohibited.
How in the world you'd prove one way or the other is entirely
beyond me, but that's how the rules currently work.

The only way to address this, IMHO, is for a competitor to file a
protest over this issue at Nationals and see what transpires. To
my knowledge, this issue has not previously been the subject of a
protest at a major event. I would imagine the "teardown" bond
would be substantial.

There are certainly possible enforcement issues with
ECU-controlled boost in SP, but we won't know how difficult they
are to deal with until there is a protest.
