When it was legal to do so, I ran a motorcycle battery in my Colt
Turbo.  Although only used during competition season, I left it in
100% of the time between April and Oct. and never had a problem.
The car was also driven at the time for commuting 85 - 100 miles/day.

Used it two seasons, until it was outlawed.  I had a nice molded
mount for it too...  :-p
