Oh yeah, 'bout that Nationwide insurance "no competitive event"
thread... I thought that sounded familiar, checked online and
downloaded my applicable insurance stuff and it's there in the document
that I'm currently on (revised 5/98). I remember back in mid '98 I had
called my agent (when I first autoxed) and ended up talking with an
underwriter eventually. At that time they had said autox was covered
since it was only 1 car at a time, under 70 mph, and I wouldn't be
making any money (they didn't sound too thrilled about it though)... I
guess it revolves around "making money" (or did at the time). Anyone
talk to an underwriter from there (or anywhere) recently??? If they
DON'T even cover autox anymore, what does this do to road rally people
(no money to win, no direct competition too, but really need the
insurance being on public roads)???
